Timing
About 15 minutes. MCP installation and OAuth already happened in Module 00; this module starts with a health-check prompt and then builds SRE artifacts.
Talk track
- The agent already writes SQL; give it the telemetry and the MCP tools and it does SRE work.
- Name the tools it will use:
clickstack_search,clickstack_save_dashboard,clickstack_save_alert. - If permission prompts appear, approve only the expected
clickstack_*tools.
Common failures
- The Module 00 MCP OAuth session expired; reauthorize the existing server instead of adding a duplicate.
- Permission prompts interrupt the agent mid-build (allowlist not applied).
- Agent picks an unjustified alert threshold; coach it to baseline first.
- AI Notebooks (optional Step 4) needs a one-time admin toggle: HyperDX Team Settings, Security Policies, Generative AI. On a participant's own trial they ARE the admin; on a loaner service enable it centrally before the session. Notebooks is beta and Managed-ClickStack-only — if the sidebar entry is missing, skip the optional step.

Reset steps
- Reauthorize the MCP server configured in Module 00.
- Delete a bad dashboard/alert in HyperDX and re-prompt.
- If remote MCP OAuth is blocked, use a supported browser/agent or a loaner machine. Do not replace the remote endpoint with a local MCP server.
